Jeanfield Swifts manager Robbie Holden highlights threat of Sauchie striker Mark Smith

Jeanfield Swifts’ backline will be reminded about the threat of Sauchie forward Mark Smith before this weekend’s Premier Division fixture.Smith, who is from Perth, previously plied his trade with Swifts but is now in fine form for Saturday afternoon’s opponents.He netted a hat-trick for Sauchie against Luncarty back on December 23 and will be on the hunt for more goals against familiar faces.“Mark is obviously a player we know well,” Swifts boss Robbie Holden said.“He grabbed a hat-trick in his last game and we know the threat he carries.“He is quick, strong and can finish so we will need to manage that if we are to take a positive result from the game.”Swifts sit second in the Premier Division standings - just behind Broxburn - and one point clear of fourth-placed Sauchie.“Sauchie were many people’s favourites for the league at the start of the season,” Holden added.“They have a very good squad and I wouldn’t rule them out of putting a big run of games together with the quality they have.”With festive cobwebs blown away, Swifts are in good shape for tomorrow’s fixture and should only be missing striker Dayle Robertson.Holden told the PA: “We trained again on Tuesday and worked very hard to get the festive celebrations out the system.“The effort has been good and we will hopefully see the benefit come Saturday.“We should have everyone back available on Saturday with the exception of Dayle Robertson who is unavailable.”
