The cloud drew so much attention as it stood out over the homes of many across Greater Manchester. People were quick to share their own photos online, with many commenting on how much it looked like a flying saucer.
Others joked that the 'aliens were watching' and made reference to it being a 'space station'. The orb-like cloud was spotted by people living in Didsbury, as well as in Sale, Urmston and even clocked overhead as far north as Blackley.
