But this Christmas, Matt Milburn will be reprising his role. The actor first appeared on the cobbles as the Weatherfield County footballer, who befriended Steve McDonald and Tim Metcalfe after hiring Michelle Connor as a wedding planner, in 2016.
He then made further sporadic appearances over the next few years and was last seen in 2021, when he retired from his footballing career.
However, before the year is out, Corrie viewers will see Tommy back on the street. Spoilers revealed that Tracy Barlow is unimpressed to realise she is cooking for ten at the Barlows on Christmas day, and a joke about relationship gap years causes some friction between her and her husband Steve McDonald.
