Vernon Kay was left red in the face after he was forced to apologise to listeners after a 'slip of the tongue'. The 49-year-old presenter hosted his BBC Radio 2 slot on Wednesday and was left horrified by his on-air blunder.As the star addressed listeners about the time capsules, he read out a letter from a fan, as he said: "Hey Vern, can you wish a happy 100th anniversary to the Vernon Building Society in Stockport," reports the Mirror.The radio host then discussed everything Stockport has produced, including his wife Tess Daly. “And as I’m reading this they’re burying a time capsule with pupils from St Joseph’s Primary School containing everything that’s great about Greater Manchester which will be opened in 100 years in 2124," he continued.Vernon said: "None of us will be around when they open that - how crazy is that?
