Two suspects arrested over the murder of a 51-year-old man in a park in Old Trafford remain under investigation, an inquest heard.
Headley Barry Thomas, known as Barry, was found unconscious with severe head injuries in Penn Park, off Maher Gardens, on September 12 last year.
He died of his injuries at Salford Royal Hospital three weeks later. Det Insp Matthew Hamer, of GMP's Major Incident Team, gave an update on the investigation at a pre-inquest review hearing at Stockport coroners court on Wednesday.
He said: "Following the death of Headley Barry Thomas a murder investigation was launched.
