Two Manchester University security guards deny racially aggravated assault on student

Mohammad Akram, 54, and Christopher Worden, 56, both appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court this afternoon. They are each charged with racially aggravated assault by beating and an alternative offence of assault by beating.

Mr Akram, of Bolton, and Mr Worden, of Oldham, both entered not guilty pleas to the offences.
