Two people are in hospital after they were forced to jump from a flat window following a horror blaze on Sunday.A large-scale emergency service response to the incident in East Kilbride's Murray area saw police, the fire service and ambulance race to the scene this afternoon.Police confirmed two people were taken to Wishaw General Hospital after jumping from a flat.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

"Emergency services attended and two people have been taken to Wishaw General after jumping from a flat."Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.Reports on social media have suggested they jumped from the second or third floor.One witness said: "Blue lights everywhere, fire, ambulance and police.A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with possession of an offensive weapon.Police sources say enquiries are ongoing.One comment on social media suggested a "'mother and child had to jump from the third floor," with another saying it was "pretty horrible to watch."Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
