Tony McFarr, a stuntman best known as the double for actor Chris Pratt in blockbusters like Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
2, died of undetermined causes May 13 at his home outside Orlando. He was 47. His death, first reported by TMZ, was confirmed on the website of the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida.
McFarr’s mother Donna told TMZ that the exact circumstances of his death are unknown but that his passing was unexpected. The Orange County Medical Examiner has confirmed to Deadline that an exam has taken place and a cause/manner of death is pending toxicology results.
His date of passing is listed as May 13, when he was found unresponsive. Born Antonio Gerard McFarr on October 12, 1976, the stunt performer launched his career as an uncredited stunt double for Geoff Stults on Bones in 2011.
