Todd Cantwell has hit out at VAR after a challenge he was far from happy with in a Rangers win over Livingston. The game at Almondvale was littered with interventions from the refereeing tech but goals from Cyriel Dessers and James Tavernier's second-half penalty - awarded to Rangers after VAR spotted a handball by Mikey Devlin - made it seven games unbeaten for new boss Philippe Clement.
Cantwell was spotted in a bust-up shortly after coming on as a ssubstitute and has now revealed the circumstances behind his booking.Taking to his Instagram story, he shared images of Livingston defender James Penrice's boot in contact with his leg, with one caption reading "didn't get checked." He continued with a close up of the challenge and said: "For context I got booked here not even looked at.
If I didn't pull my leg away we wouldn't be most worried about it not being looked at."Cantwell's booking came after he pushed Penrice following the incident.
VAR got involved in the first half when ruling out Connor Goldson's opener. It then didn't intervene when Ross McCausland went down in the box under a Shamal George challenge, which proved devicive with the pundits.
