Tireless Lanarkshire volunteers are crowned Coronation Champions

Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort have rewarded hundreds of the nation’s most extraordinary volunteers as part of the official Coronation celebrations in conjunction with Royal Voluntary Service.Five hundred incredible volunteers have been recognised for their contributions and crowned Coronation Champions.

This follows a call out to the nation to nominate their volunteer heroes – an appeal that attracted 5000 entries.Among them are four tireless volunteers from Lanarkshire, who will have the honour of joining other Coronation Champions at a Coronation garden party at the Palace of Holyrood in July.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
