Television star Matthew Wright has sparked concern after being hospitalised twice within 48 hours due to severe neck pain. The 59 year old host updated his followers on social media following his A&E dashes.

His health ordeal began with one visit to the hospital where he was sent home with pain medication. However, he found himself back in an ambulance the next day, Thursday 4 July, after experiencing 'off the scale' agony.

On Tuesday 9 July, on X, previously known as Twitter, Matthew expressed his gratitude: "Turns out my bad neck is actually quite bad.

Indebted to paramedics Steph and Miko for getting me to hospital and dealing with worst of pain. Doesn't look like I'll be moving house today." In a medicated state, he tweeted: "Two shots of morphine so far, one diazepam, 1000mg paracetemol and it's not even 7am #BreakfastOfChampions." He also praised the NHS care he was receiving: "Having an absolutely first class @ nhs experience thus far", reports the Mirror.
