This Morning staff 'livid' and 'in limbo' as Holly Willoughby's replacement still not decided
ok.co.ukThe lack of decision over who will be replacing Holly Willoughby on This Morning has reportedly left staff working on the show feeling rather uncertain about their future.Three months after Holly's exit, there is still no permanent presenting team in place, with the show instead being hosted by a rotation of famous faces, including Josie Gibson, Cat Deeley, and Emma Willis, with Sian Welby also recently enjoying a stint at the show.
However, there has yet to be a decision made as to who will be helming the show on a permanent basis, something that is said to be causing a lot of friction behind the scenes.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "All anyone can talk about behind the scenes is who the next team on the sofa will be. It’s not just the talent either – there’s widespread frustration at the lack of a decision, and some are really livid. "Many of the stylists and make-up artists work for one particular person, so they’re keen to know when they’ll be working.Those people are also in limbo." They continued: "Josie is one of the most positive people on the show, and has been a real support for others.
Many are angry that she hasn’t been given the job, after all the graft she’s put in for the show." However, the source added that Josie herself has not voiced if she is particularly annoyed at the lack of decision, opting instead to just "keep calm and carry on." OK!
