However, it's now been revealed that viewers can also look forward to a fourth and fifth season, with Alan Cumming set to return as host, as reported by Variety.The second season of The Traitors proved to be a massive hit, becoming the most-watched unscripted series across all US streaming platforms in its launch week.
The show also garnered critical acclaim, bagging four Emmy nominations including nods for outstanding reality competition program, outstanding directing and cinematography for a reality series, and an individual nomination for Alan Cumming as outstanding host, reports the Mirror.
Adding to its list of accolades, the second season was also awarded the outstanding achievement in reality at the TCA Awards.Unlike its UK counterpart, the American version of The Traitors features a cast of familiar faces from various reality TV shows.Season two saw British stars Ekin-Su Culculoglu, winner of Love Island, and former Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, join the line-up.After a nail-biting final season filled with betrayals, lies and deceit, two contestants emerged victorious.
