As well as some meticulously detailed guidance on outfits that invitees are permitted to wear, there are also expectations on behaviour exhibited during the ceremony, which will see King Charles and Queen Camilla crowned.
On the guest list for the special day are David and Victoria Beckham, Stephen Fry - who was amongst some of the first stars to take their seats inside Westminster Abbey - Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US First Lady Jill Biden. The use of cameras, video or sound recording equipment are not permitted during the ceremony - which commences at 11am - and mobile photos and other electronic devices must be switched off.
During the music before the service, guests must also ensure they keep their conversations to a minimum. Attendees began gathering within the colossal London church just after 7.30am, with dozens donning suits fascinators, military uniforms and medals and religious clothing.
