The new homes that could be built in an old Sunday school and church in Trafford

Plans to partially demolish a church and replace it with five new homes in Sale have been submitted to Trafford council. If approved part of Sale United Reformed Church will make wake way for two new detached houses.

Part of the old Sunday school hall will also be demolished to allow its conversion into three more homes. An old house on the site on Montague Road, believed to have been used by the minister in the past, will be refurbished.

A new central access road will serve the existing house and three of the plots while two plots will be served by a drive directly onto Montague Road.

The applicant is Pavilion Landmark Ltd and the architect is B2. Nexus Planning, based in Manchester is the the agent. “The existing detached house that sits on the south-west of the site will be refurbished and improved,” the design and access statement submitted with the application by B2 says.
