The Foreign Office has issued a 'No Travel' list, pinpointing 31 countries and territories that British tourists should avoid.
The reasons for the warnings range from safety and security risk fears to wars and conflicts. In some areas, the threat level is heightened due to terrorism and potential terror strikes, whereas other regions are grappling with natural disasters such as wildfires, tornadoes, and the possibility of tsunamis.
In total, there are close to 200 countries and territories around the world. The Foreign Office warns: "Get advice and warnings about travel abroad, including entry requirements, safety and security, health risks and legal differences." The Foreign Office is advising against all travel to large parts of Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, and plenty of other nations to boot.
