Sky TV has announced a major price change - and you may be affected
Sky TV has announced a major change to its popular NOW service, which could affect users from today. The TV streaming platform, known for providing access to a wide range of Sky Sports channels - including Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports Main Event - without the need for a long-term contract, has undergone a price hike. The much-loved Sky Sports Day Membership, which allows viewers to join for 24 hours with a one-off fee, is being adjusted and users won't be thrilled with the update as the cost of this plan has now jumped up from £11.99 to £14.99 - a hefty £3 increase. The reason behind such a substantial price rise remains unclear, but it may persuade some avid viewers to switch to longer-term plans that now offer better value for money. "We always try to keep prices as low as possible while continuing to offer the best member experience and flexible access to Sky Sports unrivalled sports coverage," a NOW spokesperson told the Mirror ahead of the price hike, which came into force on April 30.
