Suspected drug-driver speeds away from police at 120mph in motorway chase

Police chased a suspected-drug driver after it sped away from officers at 120mph. The car was first spotted by officers on the M6.

The driver was ordered to pull over but instead sped away from the scene. A high-speed pursuit then took place before the chase came to a 'safe conclusion' on the M62 at junction 11 for the Birchwood Interchange. A picture of the car was posted on the North West Motorway Police Twitter page this afternoon. Alongside the photo, an officer wrote: "This vehicle came to our attention on the M6.

Patrol attempted to pull it over to which the driver decided to make off at 120mph. "Suitably trained officers assisted in bringing the pursuit to a swift and safe conclusion at J11 of the M62.
