Suspect named after firearm found in Oldham

A man has been charged with possession of a firearm in Oldham. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation after a 'suspected firearm' was found in the Glodwick area.

The probe was launched by detectives in the Oldham Challenger team. Mohammed Muktar Raji, of Mansfield Road, has now been charged in connection with the investigation.

Raji is next due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on September 20. A post on the GMP Oldham Facebook page this morning said: "#CHARGE | Oldham detectives secure firearms charges.
