Zara McDermott's second Strictly Come Dancing performance will be particularly special for the ex-Love Islander, with the dance having a sweet link to her grandparents.The ex-Love Islander, 26, is competing on this year's series of the BBC One show with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima, 29, with the duo proving to be a perfect match on the dance floor.
Zara performed the quickstep with Graziano on Saturday's show and her mum Karen has revealed that the quickstep has a special link to her parents - Zara's grandparents - who would dance the quickstep together when they were dating.
Karen shared a post on Facebook while travelling to watch Zara's Strictly live performance, revealing that the Love Islander's grandparents would be in the audience at this week's show. "We're taking my parents to the show who are both nearly 90!" she penned. "Back in their younger days when they were courting they used to dance the quickstep so seeing their granddaughter perform this on Strictly is something they never dreamed would happen (and nor could we!)." Karen sweetly added: "I cannot wait to see their faces light up as she takes to the dance floor.
