Whispers had been swirling after getting engaged earlier that year that the couple abruptly "dropped their wedding plans and separated".
A sourced told The Sun back in 2016: "Gorka and Lauren aren't together anymore." Their romance seemed rock solid but it unexpectedly crumbled, leaving friends and fans stunned.The source reportedly gave more details: "Nobody saw this coming, and it's a big shock for their friends and family who thought they were a great match." It was reported that Lauren wiped clean her social media of any traces of Gorka and unfollowed him in the process.
It was also noted that the duo were last snapped together on the fateful night in Blackpool when Gorka was shockingly set upon by a group of rowdy teens.The Strictly star endured a vicious assault mere hours after the live Blackpool performance.
