dailyrecord.co.ukTributes have been paid to a former professional boxer from Wishaw who died this week aged 85.Bobby Fisher fought 36 pro fights, fighting 209 rounds, winning 21 of them with one draw on his record.The Wishaw fighter fought professionally for the first time in 1961 in Newcastle, when he beat Joe Wright by TKO (technical knockout).His final fight was almost nine years later in March 1970 when he again won by means of a TKO against Geoff Ryan in Manchester.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

McGrandle won on pointsDad to three daughters and a grandfather too, Bobby came from a Craigneuk boxing family as his brother Billy Fisher won a Bronze at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.
