'She would want to see change, rather than singling out individuals' - sister of murdered police officer's impassioned plea to Manchester Arena public inquiry

A much-loved police officer murdered in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack would 'want to see rightful justice prevail' and 'change rather than singling out individuals', her sister told the ongoing public inquiry considering all aspects of the 2017 bombing atrocity.

Elaine McIver's sister, Lynda McIver, read out an impassioned statement on behalf of the family at the inquiry on Thursday. She said Elaine, who was 43, would want 'inefficient systems and government agencies brought to account, rather than individuals that were all trying to help on the night'.
