EXCLUSIVE: Veteran film and television producers Sean and Bryan Furst have signed a multi-project development deal with Miramax TV via their Global Position Studios.

The agreement adds several premium projects in Europe, Latin America and Africa to the development slate for Miramax TV, whose current international series include the upcoming Guy Ritchie-helmed The Gentlemen, commissioned out of Netflix UK.

Miramax also recently acquired TV rights for the blockbuster franchise Halloween. “This collaboration with GPS aligns perfectly with our strategic vision to expand Miramax TV’s global footprint in both traditional and emerging international territories that continue to see break out success on global platforms,” said Marc Helwig, Miramax’s EVP and Head of Global Television.

GPS’ business is built on generating international TV series by bringing genre IP, development funding, creative collaboration, deficit and distribution resources to key markets worldwide. “GPS was created to meet an ascending demand for premium local series and feature films by storytellers from across the globe,” said the Fursts. “We’ve found exceptional partners in Miramax TV, whose global outlook and commitment to quality storytelling are so precisely aligned with our mandate.” Prior to forming GPS, the Fursts served as Co-Presidents of Film and Television at Skybound Entertainment, where they packaged, developed and sold movies and series in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including the recently launched African Netflix series Classified.
