A Scots beauty has been named Miss Great Britain after beating 37 other contestants to scoop the glittering crown. Amy Meisak, from Hamilton, said her dreams came true when she was named the new Miss Great Britain at the final in Leicester.
In a competition first, Amy's mum Laurie, also competed in the competition in the Ms Great Britain Classic section and finished in the top three.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! I am MISS GREAT BRITAIN! If this is a dream... plz don’t wake me up @missgb_official Makeup by @kirstyemartinmua Tan by @summerglow_kk."The 28-year-old is no stranger to pageants and has been competing in competitions for years.
However, this year has been extremely tough after she was diagnosed with incurable auto-immune disease Lupus.She said: "In October last year I was diagnosed with an incurable auto-immune disease called lupus.
