Scarlett Johansson's ego is 'too fragile' to be on social media
wonderwall.comScarlett Johansson just doesn't have a strong enough mentality to deal with social media. The actress appeared on Dear Media's "The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast" and was asked why she's not on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok or any other social media forum."I can't.
My ego is too fragile," she said. "I can't deal with it. My brain is too fragile. I'm like a delicate flower."That's not to say the "Black Widow" star hasn't briefly dabbled in social media.
In fact, she recalled the one time she "wasted 17 minutes" looking at a single profile of someone she didn't really even know. "I spent 20 minutes looking at somebody's Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine … like, now I know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in Burbank," she said. "I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog and change my life in all these ways.
I felt so bad, like I was missing out on this random person's life."Back in 2011, the two-time Oscar nominee said she eschewed social media because she didn't "feel the need to" brand herself "in that way."She doesn't however sometimes appear in videos on the Instagram and TikTok pages for her skincare company, The Outset."I mean, it's definitely fun.
