Sandi Scully, the wife of beloved Los Angeles Dodgers' Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, died Sunday evening at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after a battle with ALS, the team announced.
She was 76. Born on Dec. 27, 1944, in Cascade, Virginia, Sandra Hunt was raised in Lexington, North Carolina. She was working as the executive assistant to Los Angeles Rams owner Carroll Rosenbloom when she met Vin after they were set up by Rams attorney Ed Hookstratten.
They were married in November 1973. She was divorced and had two kids, Todd and Kelly, from a previous marriage; he was a widower with three children. (Vin was married for 15 years to his first wife, Joan, until she died of an accidental medical overdose in 1972 when she was 35.) His.
