Congratulations are in order for Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim! The 21-year-old American athlete won the gold medal in the halfpipe event at the 2022 Beijing Olympics on Thursday (February 10) in Beijing, China.
On her first run, Chloe earned a score of 94 points, which helped her secure a win in the event. Spain’s Queralt Castellet earned the silver with 90.25 points and Japan’s Sena Tomita earned the bronze with 88.25 points. She won gold back in 2018 with a score of 98.25 points. NBC reports that Chloe began the run with “a huge method air, after which she nailed a frontside 1080 tailgrab, a cab 900, a switch backside 540 and a cab 1080.” Make sure to watch the video of her run below and then watch her amazing reaction!
