Sam Smith was spotted taking a stroll in New York in a typically eye-catching outfit alongside rumoured boyfriend Christian Cowan.The 31-year-old singer kept cool in the hot summer weather by wearing a white pleated skirt with a matching vest.The London-born hitmaker teamed the outfit with tan work boots and gold necklaces.The outfit showed off Sam's array of tattoos on their arms and legs and they sported a scruffy beard for the occasion.

Fashion designer Christian, meanwhile, went for an all-black look, featuring an oversized top and shorts. Sam and Christian have sparked relationship rumours in recent months after being spotted out together on a number of occasions.This year the pair have attended Some Like It Hot on Broadway and New York City's Pride together - though they are yet to confirm they are dating.
