Ryanair Glasgow bound flight declares mid-air emergency over Scotland

flight RYR5776 departed from the Irish capital at around 8:30pm on Monday, August 30. The Boeing 737-800 is understood to have begun squawking alert code 7700 declaring an emergency situation onboard the aircraft.

It's thought the flight was near Irvine, in Ayrshire, when it let out the emergency signal. Despite the signal, the plane is understood to have safely landed in Glasgow at around 9:15pm last night.
