manchestereveningnews.co.ukRoman Kemp has been flooded with congratulatory messages after he was left in disbelief over a very personal achievement. The One Show host had the evening off presenting the mid-week edition of the BBC One show and seemingly revealed why.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (October 23), Roman could be seen wearing a graduation robe with a doctoral bonnet and was beaming for the camera as he held onto a doctoral scroll.
Alongside the post, the TV and radio star explained: "I won’t lie this felt very surreal. A massive thank you to @uniwinchester for awarding me the ‘Degree of Doctor of Letters’ for the Mental Health work we’ve achieved over the last few years and keep striving for. He then jokingly added: "PS I wasn’t allowed to keep the hat." And his celebrity pals and followers were quick to respond.
The One Show co-host Alex Jones said: "This is amazing and well deserved." Singer Craig David replied: "So deserved." Helen Flanagan posted: "Amazing".
