Road near Taylor Swift Scots gig venue closed by 'police incident'

Cops have locked down a major Scots road less than a mile from the Taylor Swift gig in Edinburgh due to a breaking incident.Police in the capital have put a cordon in place on Westfield Road after racing to reports of a concern for a man in a property.

The residential street is less than a 10-minute walk from the stadium with thousands of fans making their way to Murrayfield on Friday afternoon for the megastar's gig.Officers have advised concert goers to avoid the area and use alternative routes.Edinburgh Travel News shared on X: "Due to a Police incident, Westfield Road is currently closed between Gorgie Road and Stevenson Road."Lothian Buses took to X to warn customers that they would have to divert the number one and two services, reports Edinburgh Live.The statement on their website read: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Westfield Road and Stevenson Road and are instead diverted via Gorgie Road and Balgreen Road in both directions until further notice."
