‘Rick and Morty’ renewed through season 12

Now, Screen Rant is reporting that the animated series is being picked up for an additional two seasons, bringing it to season 12.Per Screen Rant, the news was announced at the New York Comic Con by executive producers Dan Harmon and Scott Marder.
With season eight set to premiere sometime in 2025, that would suggest that a new season of Rick and Morty will air every year until the end of the decade in 2029.“From Season One, Rick and Morty set a new standard in adult animation and has shown no signs of stopping,” stated Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim. “Dan, Scott and the rest of the immensely talented team behind Rick and Morty are constantly outdoing themselves, and I’ll be joining the millions of fans around the world in looking forward to more adventures in the years to come.”Additionally, the first look at season eight was unveiled at New York Comic Con.
Watch a clip below.Last year’s season seven marked the show’s first collection of episodes to not feature co-creator Justin Roiland as the voice actor for the two lead characters after he was dismissed from the series following domestic violence allegations.
