A residential street in Gorton was cordoned off throughout Tuesday evening (March 5) with a taxi inspected by officers following a reported attack.

An investigation has been launched following the incident, in which residents living locally claimed that a 'young lad' was attacked.

It is thought they had been inside the taxi, but this is yet to be confirmed by police. Police cordoned off the street from the junction with Darras Road, with officers from CID conducting door to door enquiries throughout the evening.
