Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Royal fans were moved to tears after King Charles III broke with tradition to share a "sweet" moment with the New Zealand women’s rugby team, with many saying he "needed it."The touching event happened on 11 September at Buckingham Palace, when a player from the New Zealand women’s rugby team asked King Charles III for a hug.

Ayesha Leti-I’iga, a winger for the Black Ferns, and her teammates were thrilled when the King agreed with a smile."Why not?" he said, before being surrounded by the players for a group hug, with everyone laughing and cheering.

The 75-year-old King later joked: "It was like being flattened by a scrum."This moment was captured on video and shared on the team’s official social media, gaining over 1.1 million likes.

The team captioned the post: "Kicking our feet King Charles."Many fans were surprised to see the King hugging, as this is usually seen as a break from Royal protocol.
