Rangers slapped with UEFA fine after off-field flashpoint during Champions League play-off defeat to Dynamo Kyiv

Rangers have copped a £12k fine from UEFA following following their Champions League playoff clash with Dinamo Kyiv at Hampden.

It was a night to forget on the pitch for Philippe Clement's men as they were steamrollered by they slumped to a 2-0 defeat to the Ukrainian side to miss out on the £40m jackpot in the league phase - with two late goals following Jefte's red card sending the Light Blues into the revamped Europa League.

And European football's governing body have now decided to take action against the club following off-field issues at the national stadium after they released their latest punishments for clubs after a series of rule breaches.

The charges from UEFA are for "blocking of public passageways" under Article. 38 of their regulations. Rangers have been fined €12,000 (£10,500) for the incident.
