Prince Harry appeared "bitter" on his recent visit to Nigeria with Meghan Markle, according to a Royal commentator. Harry and wife Meghan, who stepped down as senior Royals in 2020, conducted a three-day trip to Nigeria earlier this month receiving appreciation.

Despite the couple foregoing their official Royal duties, critics have compared their trip to traditional Royal tours. Tom Quinn, an esteemed Royal author and expert, gave his insights to The Mirror: "Harry and Megan see their recent trip to Nigeria as a huge success, but for Harry every success is another kind of failure while his family refuse to acknowledge his efforts and steadfastly refuse to apologise for everything that had happened in the past.

In Nigeria and even with Meghan at his side and regularly holding his hand he still has a permanent look of bitterness on his face." The Nigerian tour was generally considered a triumph for the Sussexes who also hinted future excursions are expected.

Concluding their tour, they joyfully referred to it as "the first of many trips", reports the Mirror. Nonetheless, an expert points out the danger these "faux Royal tours" can accentuate the existing "ongoing royal rift", noting the Nigeria visit "infuriated" the Royal household.
