Police are concerned that a missing Ayrshire teenager hasn't been in touch with friends or family since she vanished five days ago.Emma Goddard was last spotted two days ago (Saturday) in an Edinburgh branch of McDonald's on South St Andrews Street.

She vanished from her home in Stevenston on Thursday.Cops say they've been carrying out 'significant' enquiries into the 14-year-old's disappearance.

Emma is described as white, 5ft5 in height and has short red/auburn hair and wears glasses and was last seen wearing a dark woollen hat, a two-tone padded jacket and dark trousers.

In an appeal earlier today, officers also said that Emma has also been known to use the names Aster and Connor.Inspector Bob Richardson, Edinburgh Police Division, said: “We have been carrying out significant enquiries since Emma was reported missing, however, that fact the last sighting was now two days ago, and that that Emma has not been in touch with family or friends is concerning.“We have been liaising with colleagues in British Transport Police and also local public transports hubs in an effort to trace Emma and would appeal to anyone who has any information about Emma’s whereabouts to get in touch.“We’d also say to Emma to get in touch with police or friends and family to make sure everything is ok."Any information can be passed to officers via 101.
