TV Star Phillip Schofield has revealed that he's deleted Twitter, and that he wants “no part of it” because of the online abuse he gets.
Phillip, who recently turned 60, was discussing the popular online social media platform on This Morning in the wake of SpaceX’s Elon Musk acquiring it for £34.5 billion.
As a result, Twitter will now be a privately owned company. Addressing the tech billionaire buying it, Phillip expressed his concerns that the platform “could become even more of a cesspit than it already is”. “I’ve deleted it off my phone,” he revealed. “And I’ll quite openly say that because there is a section that is wonderful and magnificent and funny and informative.
And there is a section that is vile and disgusting and I want no part of it in my life.” While Phillip has deleted the app off his phone, he admitted that his account is still active.
