Penn Badgley Wraps ‘You’ Season 5 Filming By Recreating “Very Demure” TikTok Trend

The Gossip Girl actor announced the wrapping of the darkly comedic show in a TikTok that recreated the trend first originated by content creator Jools Lebron, whose instructional video on how to show up to work in a “respectful” and “modest” manner has since taken off — being copied by everyone from the White House team to Jennifer Lopez — allowing her to pay for her gender transition surgery. “See how I show up to work?
Very demure, very mindful,” Badgley begins in the video, mimicking Lebron’s cadence as he carries hefty garment bags. “I don’t really do too much when I’m at work.
I’m very mindful,” he continues before a still of his character screaming in a glass cage (Goldberg’s preferred method of trapping his victims) pops up. “Playing a romantic icon for five seasons, I’m very modest, I’m very mindful,” the Easy A actor adds, joking about how his character has been romanticized in the past. “You see my shirt?
