Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), later establishing herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being hit by lorry on busy Scots road

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a lorry in Edinburgh this morning. The busy city centre road where the collision took place was cordoned off by police officers as they launched a probe into the incident.

A woman was taken to the New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in the capital after the incident at around 7.10am on South Groathill Avenue, close to the junction with Queensferry Road South.Emergency services raced to the scene next to Craigleith Retail Park and a Sainsbury's superstore, with an Esso petrol garage at the opposite side of the road.Two police vans and two police cars were spotted at the scene, with a cordon placed round the area blocked off by officers as they carried out their investigation. A post about the incident was published on the Police Scotland Edinburgh Facebook page.It read: "South Groathill Avenue is closed at the junction with Queensferry Road South following a report of a crash involving a lorry and a pedestrian around 7.10am on Wednesday, 17 April, 2024.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area."A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 7.07am today to attend an incident on Queensferry Road in Edinburgh.
