Patrick Kielty has made it clear that he won't be making any guest appearances on the This Morning sofa to co-host alongside wife, Cat Deeley. The 52 year old, who met Cat while they were both hosting Fame Academy on BBC in 2002, said he avoids giving career advice to his talented wife and admitted that she's "a much better TV presenter" than he is.
Patrick, who hosts the Late Late Show on RTE, told the Irish Mirror: "When your wife has been nominated for five or six Emmys, and won a BAFTA, I just tend not to give [her] too much advice, full stop." He added: "That's kind of a good rule.
She's way better at hosting TV than I am, so I wouldn't even dream of giving her any advice, that would be a very short chat." Even though Cat, 47, has received lots of praise for guest hosting ITV's This Morning, Patrick insists they have no plans to become the new Richard and Judy.
He joked: "What is it they say? Don't get your honey where you get your money." Patrick will present a Late Late Show special on New Year's Eve before Anna Geary takes over at Dublin Castle for the Countdown Concert.
