Parents' heartbreak as tiny 15-day-old baby dies

A brave young mum has spoken of her heartbreak after her 15-day-old baby tragically died of a rare genetic disorder. Isabelle Stone, 19, gave birth to her baby Oscar shortly before Christmas, Yorkshire Live reports.

But she and her partner Joe, also 19, were left devastated after he sadly died just 15 days later in her arms. Oscar was born with an extremely rare genetic Metabolic Disorder - which is passed down from a parent - called Ornithine transcarbamylase deficiency (OTC).

Isabelle now hopes to raise awareness of the condition, saying she would 'hate for someone else to feel this pain'. She has started a petition for the government to fund these tests. Isabelle said: "I would hate for someone else to feel this pain because its something no one should experience.
