Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Paedophile tried to meet '12-year-old schoolgirl' for sex in supermarket car park

A paedophile has been put behind bars after trying to meet a young girl at a supermarket car park to have sex with her. RAF veteran Mark Lenthall, aged 53, travelled 250 miles from his home thinking he was meeting a schoolgirl, aged 12.

The sick pervert, from Hull, had even bought a sex toy for the girl ahead of their meeting in Wales, Hull Live reports. However, a court heard how he was caught as part of a sting by police who had been tracking him after becoming concerned that he may re-offend after being convicted of child sex offences in 2017.

The girl he thought he was meeting was actually a police officer posing as his intended young victim.When he was arrested by South Wales Police in Caerphilly on July 10 last year, they discovered a tablet with more than 2,800 indecent images of children – some as young as four, and the sex toy.

Lenthall, 53, was arrested and remanded in custody until his appearance at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday. He pleaded guilty to attempting to arrange meeting with underage girl, attempting to incite child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to communicate with a child, attempting to cause a child to look at an image of someone engaging in sexual activity, and breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.The court heard the former RAF serviceman had previous from 2017 from Hull Crown Court including convictions for making and possessing indecent images of children and extreme pornography as well as engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 16.He was also made subject to a sexual harm prevention order.On Friday he was sentenced to an extended sentenced of 13 years imprisonment, of which he will serve eight years in custody and five on licence.Speaking after the hearing,
