Packed bus window smashed after Lanarkshire yobs launch missile at it

Police have launched an investigation after Lanarkshire yobs shattered a window of a packed bus by throwing a missile at it.The 3C bus began in October, operated by Climate Action Strathaven, providing residents in the town and nearby Stonehouse with a lifeline service into Glasgow city centre and connecting the towns to each other.

But in broad daylight on Friday afternoon youths reportedly targeted the bus in Stonehouse's New Street - with 43 people on board - throwing an object at it.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The inner window glass remained intact."Please contact the police on 101, using crime report number QB01040123 if anyone has any dashcam or CCTV footage which may assist the police, or if you witnessed the incident, or have any other information - thank you."They added that the shocking incident would see the bus rerouted until further notice: "Due to an incident, the 3C bus will not be stopping in Stonehouse town centre."The bus will continue to pick up in the Common Green and at the Stonehouse stops on the Strathaven Road, before taking the bypass
