The First Minster was speaking at a press briefing today as cases of the new covid strain double every two days. The SNP leader said that from Saturday all household contacts of any confirmed covid cases will need to isolate for a period of 10 days - regardless of their vaccine status.
If a person initially tests negative through a PCR test they will still need to isolate at home.There will be some exemptions for people working in critical services.Sturgeon said: "Given that Omicron is now becoming dominant, our response to it has to become more general.
