Hibs cancel Dubai trip as Omicron surge prompts training camp rethink

Premier Sport Cup finalists Hibs have been forced to call-off a winter break trip to Dubai.The Easter Road club had plans in place to head to the Middle-east for some warm weather training in January.The club has now decided to call it off due to the current concerns over the rising omicron pandemic.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, earlier this week, urged Scots to stay home to limit the rocketing spread of the virus. Overseas travel is also being restricted with many countries restricting travel or even closing their borders.Hibs had agreed their get-away, which was due to start on October 10th, was agreed by former boss Jack Ross before his recent departure.Staff and players have been informed of the club’s decision in the last 48 hours.
