NewJeans have teased the music video for their upcoming song ‘Right Now’, which will be a collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.‘Right Now’ will appear on NewJeans’ upcoming double single album ‘Supernatural’, which will be the K-pop girl group’s first Japanese release.

The music video teaser, which was released on May 1, opens with the quintet as their The Powerpuff Girls characters, last seen in the clip for ‘New Jeans’.As the quintet walk through a forest, they come across a flower with rainbow petals, which soon transports them into what appears to be a different dimension, where the girl group appear as characters designed by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.NewJeans are scheduled to release ‘Supernatural’ on June 21.

Prior to that, the girl group will also drop the Korean-language double single album ‘How Sweet’ on May 24, featuring the previously released song ‘Bubble Gum’.The release of the ‘Right Now’ music video teaser comes amid an increasingly heated feud between ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE, which owns majority shares in the K-pop agency, over the ownership of the NewJeans label.Last week, Min Hee-jin denied claims made by HYBE that the ADOR CEO had planned to takeover the K-pop agency in a press conference.

HYBE later responded to claims made by Min, alleging that the ADOR CEO had “distorted the facts by mixing up the timeline”.Meanwhile, Min had also allegedly “demanded” for HYBE to give her the authority to terminate NewJeans‘ contracts, according to a new media report.
