A new £130 million Eden Project in Dundee has officially been given the green light. Councillors met in the City of Discovery last night to approve the planning application at the old gas works on East Dock Street, less than a mile away from V&A Dundee. The project will combine exhibits, performance, immersive experiences, live music, art and food, and retail spaces.
It has also been suggested existing tall brick walls on the site could create walled gardens, with potential for a new pedestrian connection to the city centre and train station.Blair Parkin, the Eden Project’s chief experience development officer, said: “We are delighted that Dundee City Council has granted us planning permission.
