Autumn is upon us which means it’s time for woodland walks and cosy countryside strolls - when the weather permits. To help you get out and about in the coming weeks the National Trust is giving everyone free-entry passes, which are valid from September 18 until October 20.

The free pass allows free entry for two adults and up to three children, one adult and up to four children, or two adults on their own.

It gives you free entry to a National Trust place of your choice - you can see the full list of locations to choose from here.

There are several sites to choose from right on our doorstep, including Dunham Massey which is spectacular in the autumn when you can see its herd of fallow deer roaming among the fallen orange leaves.
